All poltergeists, boogeymen and creatures of the night are invited to come out in full force on Monday, 31 October – The Galileo, Cape Town’s most magnificent outdoor movie experience, will be kick starting the season with their annual Halloween movie night at Kirstenbosch Gardens.
Horror movie fans will revel in this year’s selection – A Nightmare on Elm Street. Considered by many to be the number one horror villain of all time, Freddy Krueger’s razor-sharp shears and dream-based attacks have spawned nightmares since 1984. Blurring the line between dreams and reality, this supernatural slasher flick is a sure-fire way to ward off a good night’s rest.
Those who are quick to scare beware – guests are encouraged to attend in their most gruesome gear with prizes being awarded for the most creative outfits.
Doors to the venue open at 6pm and the movie starts at sunset. Arrive early to reserve your spot on the lawn, hire a comfy backrest and a warm blanket – trust us, you’ll appreciate it when things get freaky. A delicious spread of food, alcohol, soft drinks and a candy store will satisfy your creature comforts.
Warm: R87 (plus blanket)
Comfy: R95 (plus backrest)
Warm & comfy: R100 (plus blanket and backrest)
